Abstract

|
The purpose of this review is to promote the awareness of nurse-client therapeutic communication. Therapeutic communication is necessary to understand and to make emotional connections with clients, so clients can achieve health-related goals and personal growth. Active listening and effective responding, feedback are important. These can be developed with base empathic capacity. Nurses should expand themselves through the sharing of various life experiences as well as concrete training for communication skills.
